My education is in Transpersonal Psychology with a concentration in Nature-Based Therapy and Social Justice. When appropriate or upon request I offer interventions incorporating the natural world, both indoors and outdoors. Nature can serve as a powerful resource in connecting to the Self, others, and the many healing qualities of the Elements. I believe that in developing a relationship with the natural world, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, our place on Earth and how we relate to other human beings. I practice Person-centered Therapy and provide psychosocial support and culturally sensitive counseling. My practice draws from Social Justice Counseling and Client Advocacy and focuses on the socio-political context in relation to individual and community wellness and growth. I incorporate aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family-Systems Therapy and I am trained in yoga and wilderness therapy.
